I have been using a Rotary polisher first a number of years, mainly because I am too tight to cough up for a DA. I have had no problems yet (finds some wood and touches it).

I keep the pad and panel wet in an attempt to keep things cool. I usually use a squirt bottle filled with water and apply this prior to polishing.

I have used an array of products in different situations for different outcomes, the options are some what endless, however I am looking to get some new products in an attempt to polish back from 3000.

I think the various grades of some products vary on how far back you’ve taken the paint back with the W/D process.
