Hello. FINALY I was able to get my first mini after many many years of waiting...It is a 1976 Leyland 1000 and they say it is from New Zealand. How can I find out more history of this car? I have a good amount up to a sale in Brooklyn NY in 2015. Before that I'm not having much luck.

I have a VIN but it doesn't help much. And the weird thing is the Heritage Certificates aren't available from 70 to 77.

Thoughts?

Thanks guys. I can't wait to get more involved. :)

Ian

Welcome!  :proud: With the original VIN number or the old NZ registration plate number, you can use https://www.carjam.co.nz/ to look up its history (mileage, warrant of fitness tests etc) while it was still in New Zealand, provided it was road registered there any time after 1996 or so, which is when the records were digitised from if I remember correctly. It would be interesting to see any pictures you might have of the car as well!
