Hi everyone,

One of the bolts of my lower engine steady has stripped and I need to replace this bolt. I was wondering what the dimensions of it were?

I believe it is a 9/16" bolt, but I don't know what the shank length and thread length were. I was also wondering if all the lower engine steady bolts were identical?

Regards,

Vinay

Look it up on Minispares website. they have parts catalogues and the part description will tell you the sizes.

I did, and I could not find it there. It was the first place I checked.

I think the bolt on this page is probably the one you're looking for. For the steady bar that goes forward to the subfram.

Assuming you mean the rear lower engine steadies and not the front one they are 3/8" UNF x 2.25". https://minispares.c...c/BT606171.aspx

I've just checked mine (Gearcase to front of sub frame, if thats the one?) they are 3/8 x 2.25" long, the tread being 1.0" long. This is on my 1991 Cooper.
