A rolling road tune does make the world of difference. On my old Mayfair which I'd fitted with a +30" 1275GT block, the initial power run gave 68BHP, and I thought it was running well. Turns out it was lean, the timing wasn't quite right either and the throttle cable was slightly slack. An hour's fiddling by someone who knew what they're doing and suddenly I have gained 11 BHP. And that's a LOT when you start with less than 70. The difference really was like night and day. My friend's Mini went from 60 to 76 BHP thanks to Peter Baldwin's genius.
It's an expensive outlay but it's WORTH it.
