Engine Rebuild Odd Cylider Wall Ware

hi guy got a bit of an odd one i rebuild an engine (first one i have ever done) had some help from friends that have done this before.

std 1275 block with new pistions and cam + all the bearing etc.

after about 30 mins of running no 1 started nocking so i pulled the engine and all check out apart from a ridge in the corner (where the alternate mounts) of the cylider wall.

feel free to fire me some quesion or thing for me to check just not sure what could have casued it. end float, shims, prim gear, pistion??

any thing will help

thanks in advance.

Sounds like the rod is bent and / or twisted.

As a matter of routine, on every engine rebuild I do, at the very least, I'll check the Rods for being true, but more usually, if they are Serviceable, I'll have the Rods reconditioned.
