Black oil suggests combustion products,rings bore valve guides?Bits of can and followers impart a lovely metallic finish to the oil,a joy to behold.Steve..

Thank you guys. Last year I upped the cylinder head and I sent it to be reviewed the seats. They decarbonized it, filed 2 tenths and put new stem top hat seal valves on it. Valves and guides were fine. When I put in new oil with its filter, in two weeks it already turns dark. Not black but quite dark. And I do not know why.
