Hello my name is George. I'm 19 years old and I'm looking to get into buying my first mini. I'm fairly good with servicing cars, but I am new to the mini's. I wanted to get an idea of what I could be getting into with these types of cars. This is the link to the car I'm looking to purchase. https://www.iaai.com...100?RowNumber=0
Im looking for a fun low cost project. I appreciate your time.

I would buy one overseas and import it. That one will cost a fortune to make right and tons of time. I was arguing with rich rebuild as to why he shouldn't buy it and he eventually passed on it and bought a different one.

That isn't going to be "low cost" ... even the site estimate $17k!

That car is fishy in my opinion. There's no such thing as a 1980 cooper. There was no 'Rover group Ltd' in 1980 (should be BL vin plate?). Plus it's a mash up of various bits by the looks of it. Much later interior for a start. The level of damage could have twisted the shell and it's not simple DIY to straighten them.

Personally I'd go for a more genuine example but hey.. I'm not in the market :)
