Could any one please help?

Is there any images on the correct installation of the heater valve inside the engine bay, is there any sequence as to which hose from the heater matrix it needs connecting to,

Thank you

Depends which one you are fitting.

bolt to head and run hose from it.

Thanks Luis

My car is originally an SPI, but I have altered the hose configuration, thanks for the images, is that going at any preference to the two hoses from the heater matrix. Currently I have temporary installed it free from any brackets, also it seems close to the exhaust. will this affect the valve?

Thanks again for taking the time to reply

Hi Nick

Thanks for the reply

I currently have it unsupported, can I ask will the heat from the exhaust compromise the workings internally?

I have no option to bolt to the head as it is a spi engine, will this effect if it hangs between the hose loosely also which pipe from the heater matrix is better or does it not matter

Thanks again

On mine I did the matrix top pipe/hose to radiator bottom. Matrix lower is connected to the head via the valve.

Hello Andy! The photo belongs to a friend's Mini but it is not a SPI model. He has installed that valve on a carburetor engine like mine, and he says it works very well. I think a couple of photos to see the configuration of you hoses would make it easier for the colleagues to help you.

I made a small bracket between the end exhaust stud and the heater valve
