The Bad News. I am a week late posting this meaning I have failed my goal of putting out at least one episode per month.

The Good News: New episode is out.

After years worth of work the end is in sight as I start to reassemble everything for the last time.

Good to see this coming along. Subframe design is a good one, I assume as part of the MSc you did stress analysis etc. I thought we might just see the engine drop into the engine bay at the end of the last episode, such a tease...

Yes, the design of the sub frame was subject to FEA load testing that represented the wheel taking a kerb strike and the torque of the engine. While doing this kind of analysis you realise the original mini sub frame is way over engineered for what is expected of it.

Originally that episode was supposed to include the engine being fitted to the car. Where I wanted to conclude the episode made it so long that I decided to split it into two episodes. The next is in the works and will be released later this month.

Apologies that this isn't really an update. Hopefully though it goes some way as to explain why there hasn't been any mini build videos recently.

The mini project is continuing and the videos will resume next month.

There is a long list of excuses as to why its taken me so long to get this episode out (travelling, internet issues at home, family bereavement, etc, etc) but finally it is out.

The next episode is already in the works.

So I've had quite a few messages from various places asking me about the adapter I made for the temperature sensor. I've decided to post the picture I have of it and some information here so everyone can see it.

For reasons I cannot be bothered to go into, I cannot distribute the technical drawings I created for the adapter, so don't ask. As I have been doing so far, I will ignore any requests for them.

What I can tell you about the adapter is that it is a M12x1.25 external thread, 5/8 UNF internal thread and it's 19mm across the flats.
