“It’s happening again”: Heinz had its first give-away of 57 Mini Minor cars in 1961, which it claimed to be the biggest promotion in the UK ever. It went on to give away 57 holidays and 57 caravans - 57 being the ‘magic number’ used in Heinz slogans since the 1890s.
