1.53kg  if its all there 

Good guess, 1.48kg was the total.

 

 

i nerded and calculated it, assumed the 64mm stock 141mm deep  worked out volume of cylinder then worked out new volume of cylinder subtracted old from new and assumed the cast had a density of 7.23G/cm^3 then times by 4 for all cylinders

Bit of a silly one, when I saw how much iron filings were on the bench after having my block bored to 68mm, I thought I’d weigh it.

So no prizes but how much weight do you think you remove by boring from standard to 68mm?

do we need to take into account the new pistons/rings will be heavier than the old ones  O_O

Phil I know covid restrictions are biting hard but I do think you should really think seriously about getting out a lot more. Hats of for your answer.
