Hi,

bit of a newbie here...

I need to be sure which carb I have before ordering an exhaust kit.

j have read the pinned faq but have to be honest and struggled :(

we have a 1992 Mayfair 998cc. I have attached some photos so I hope this will help this slight mystery,

we believe it’s an hs2 but maniflow are asking if it’s a 1.5“ 1.75” or 44hif...

many thanks...

I agree with he above HS4 (1 and a half inch) would be standard on the 998cc. It is interesting how SU sizing came about. The 4 stands for 8ths above the inch so an HS2 is 2 8ths above the inch meaning inch and a quarter. HS 4, 4 eights above the inch being inch and a half in size. I think only an English company would have come up with such a bizarre way of noting the size of their products.
