The issue here isn't from the Cap and Button.
There's so much advance in the distributor that it's firing well before the rotor lines up with the contact in the cap, that's why the burning is on the leading side of them.
I'd say, that either the magnet on the shaft isn't as well lined up (or aligned) as it could be and / or the Pick-up itself isn't in the most ideal location.
Another fix here is to find a Rotor Button for a 45D4 from a Distributor that spins in a Clockwise direction.

I'd suggest having a good long look at how the electronic kit has been fitted up and in particular, the magnet that fitted to the shaft, I suspect there's an issue somewhere in there.

Have to agree with Moke - lots of advance on that - and the cap shows the problem really clearly
You could try a DRB104C rotor arm, this arm is more of a straight sweep instead of the right handed sweeper arm you have in.
If someone suggests using a DRB106 - don't - as this arm is to big and will chew the cap, but is a left handed sweeper rotor
