Hey, so I did a search but the most recent thread I found was 2013, and technology has definitely moved on since then!

Wondering if anyone has installed a tablet as their head unit? Most likely looking at Android, but open to suggestions.

Would love to see some pics or hear any hints/tips you might have!

Cheers

I would not bother. I would just get a Bluetooth amp. And use my phone.

I'm keen on using it for nav and watching films when parked up somewhere is the thing. Will very much be a toy car and I have this pipedream of driving to a nice sunset with the wife and watching a film.... will bear that in mind though.

Which is why I would not build it in. Then tablet/phone or whatever. And is not left in the car.

Check light aircraft sites - quite common for them to use tablets for cockpit display now.

I've got the 123 bluetooth dizzy - it's great to have all the readouts but being longsighted the display on a phone is a little small - a tablet in a clip on the dash or similar would be useful.
