Hi all,

Thinking of purchasing a mini for a bit of fun and to do classic rallies (HRCR etc). One I have seen is 1980 and has a Verto clutch retro fitted - think these were introduced omegle xender

in 1982 on the mini - and regs say Historic category 3 is for cars up to 31 December 1981. Anyone got any evidence of Verto originally fitted to minis pre '82?

Many thanks in advance

i would bin it anyway. as they are not that good in a rally car.

i think the first Vertos appeared in 79 but when they were officially put in the Mini...

You do not want a Verto flywheel in a rally Mini.
Get yourself a lightweight steel flywheel with a heavy duty diaphragm clutch.
That way you will improve acceleration from a standing start, have better reliability and fully comply with the rules.
