Welcome to the forum and good luck with the search, there's not many vans around these days.

Keep us posted with progress.

And don't over pay for one which isn't as good as you think.  Good idea to take someone you trust with you when you look at it who'll tell you if you're being stupid.  Wish I took this advice when I got mine.  I still love it but it's needed so much work to improve it and I could have saved myself a lot of trouble if I wasn't as impulsive.

I'm possibly going to view one this weekend.
Anything specific I should be looking for, other than the usual ?
For some perspective I'm in the motor trade, I can do anything from an engine rebuild to a rewire to a body resto, it's just that I haven't worked on an old mini for 20 years and even longer since I bought one

Looks good.

Put some proper size wheels on it and it will look fantastic!

What do you mean by proper size ? 10" ?
It's got 8.4" disks,10" won't fit will they ?

I actually prefer it this way,the retromod look is my preference

10" is best, although I may be a little biased.

You are correct, some money would have to be spent on the brakes.

Sell those wheels and brakes, fit 7.5 discs and 10 inch wheels....
