Fluid Leak - Drivers Side Radius Arm

Best Answer nicklouse , 30 August 2020 - 06:59 PM

Sounds like the grease tube has split and the arm is full of grease and some has melted in the heat.

This doesn't sound good. How can I repair this?

Don’t until the radius arm need fixing.

Just had the mini out the garage and I noticed a couple of drops of fluid on the floor under the drivers side radius arm. It feels greasy and smells like grease but is more like oil?

Jacked the car up and removed the wheel and noticed where the pin for the handbrake quadrant goes was wet on top of the radius arm, but also the knuckle looks like it has seen better days.

Doesn't seem to be any leaks from the brake lines. Can anyone confirm the issue? Knuckle need replacing?

Thanks

Just leave it until you get play in the bushes of the long pin. You'll possibly use more grease in the meantime.
