Hi firstly sorry if this is in the wrong place.

I have recently been offered an old mini. It has been off the road for almost 30 years in a partly fallen down barn. I don’t have any photos yet but have been and checked it out. The registration and VIN are present and shows that it’s pre 1963. It is also a push button start model. General exterior condition is pretty rough, floors all rotten and part of the rear roof, door tops and there are no wings or bonnet. Interior has rear seats, drivers seat, door cards etc.. engine is in situ .

I am really wondering if this is worth a project or just taking to the scrap yard before I even think about getting involved with it?

Sounds like the perfect candidate for a British Motor Heritage re shell to me.

Defiantly don't take a 63 to the scrap man. People will pay 4 figures or more for a heap. If you can get some photo's we can give you a better idea what it would need.

Seriously, someone will buy that for restoration. The more of the original parts you have the more you can get.

Definitely needs saving, but if you don't think you are the right person for the job (as that is a full restoration), you could buy it if the price is right and put it up for sale, I am sure someone on here would turn ii around.

I think it might have to be that way as at the moment my garage is full and this car needs to be gone soon from it’s current location due to developers. I will be seeing if they have the log book or anything else but it has been there for around 25 or more years
