Can somebody post the dimensions of the CV Fitting Tool from Minispares? It hasn't been in stock for a while and I'm going to source something like this in my local hardware shop. I'm talking about this one: http://minispares.co...OOL21.aspx?0108

The dimensions are in (one of) the Haynes manuals - can't remember them off hand but I'm sure they've been posted before.

I doubt you'll find a similar sized washer off the shelf, but one could easily be made by an engineering shop.

Essentially he inner diameter needs to fit over the CV, the outer diameter needs to be sufficient that it acts on the drive flange and the thickness needs to be enough that it doesn't deform with the high torque applied to the nut.

The one listed for M22 will do the job

Personally, I've never done the job with these.

Thanks to the other people who answered, but I must say I'm impressed! Indeed, the fan spacer fits, so thanks a lot for this great advice!

I had one made recently - I think it was an inch hole in a 2" x 5mm thick disc.
