My SPI has a TPS sensor on the throttle body.

I have no experience with the pedal mounted sensor but the following methodology should be sound for either set up.

Throttle fault can only mean the Throttle Position Sensor or it's circuit wiring.

It has a triple wire bosch junior plug at the sensor and I would check the wires at this plug for continuity before doing anything else.

The pink and black wire is a common sensor earth on pin 1 (left hand side as you look at it).

It goes back to pin 30 on the large ECU plug.

The Yellow and green wire on pin 2 goes to pin 8 on the large ECU plug.

The yellow and purple wire on pin 3 goes back to pin 9 on the large ECU plug.

If continuity is achieved I'd look at replacing the TPS itself.
