Hi Everyone,

 

I'm currently investigating the possibility of repairing a friends early TRAN-X 5-speed gearbox (see also http://www.theminifo...tran-x-5-speed/

 

Having talked to John Guess it is the laygear which is the one part that is neither a standard part nor can be machined from a standard part. So, this is what we are looking for.

 

Should we not be able to obtain a replacement laygear, the only other sensible option would be to sell on the good parts to someone with a broken TRAN-X box.

 

 

I'm really looking forward to locate this very special part.

I got my tran x type 9 kit for my lada from  sp components, phone him he is really helpful,  he will be able to sort you out.

Have you been in touch with Quaife ?

They took over Trans-x when they went belly up in the GFC.
