I'm Cheub from Paris and I've been owning my Mini since 10 years now 
It's a 1989 Special and the original 1000 engine has been switched for a 1275 (12A2B) HIF 38 carburettor.
I've spent a couple of hours trying to make it clean and fun to drive:
Stage 1 conversion (freeflow manifold + Maniflow side exhaust, AAU carb needle, K&N air filter in original air box)
123 electronic ignition system
Cooling system: aluminium radiator, new calorstat, new stabiliser, new water pump
Front & rear camber adjustment kit
12" Revolution alloy wheels
And many other things...
I'll post some pictures of the Beast very soon (once I'll be able to understand how to do it
