The leather on the wife’s 40 LE front seats have water marks from where the door seal had failed. I had searched hi and low to find NOS leather to replace the damaged ones, eventually finding them on eBay.
At least dick Turpin wore a mask..........
I’ve had a go at getting some dark blue leather dye but it’s not working very well.

Ye gods, not cheap and a captive market.
It may pay you to go to a household upholsterer / leather restorer. We had our leather suite painted as some of the sections had lightened. No machinery used at all. The little spray gun was purely a specialised piece of kit using lung power only.
The upholsterer used a acetone based cleaner ( I cannot remember the exact product but it removed any contaminants leaving the surface prepped for paint)
He mixed the colour there on the spot until the match was perfect. It was then sprayed, left to dry and then a protective coat applied on top. Very very good, no overspray, no lingering smell and you could not tell. Being cheeky I asked him if he could do the bolster on my driver seat in my Calibra Turbo. Half an hour later done and dusted. That lasted until I sold the car two years later.

I agree with sonikk4 get a professional restorer to have a look.
It seems there are quite few techniques around now to repair damaged leather.

I agree with the above, be cheaper to get what you already have restored. Funnily enough there have been some good clips in Wheeler Dealers over the years of upholstery restoration being done and the results are always impressive. If you can suffer Mike Brewer that is!
