Another thing I noticed was my fuel cap hissing and a smell of fuel coming from it aswell, it’s a non vented type cap brand new ?

If it's hissing it might be a vented cap (wrongly fitted) or the seal may be faulty.

You should be able to hear the IACV cycle when you turn the ignition on and off. Had no reference to check it, but got a 2nd hand spare. Old one silent, new one you can hear operate.

If you block the pipes of the IACV and that stops it high revving, then that kind of proves it is faulty too (even if it makes a noise) .With the pipes blocked though it won't cold idle correctly, but mine did run.

Will this work for finding faults not cheap but maybe a good investment to have it’s as follows :-

Sykes Pickavant Acr4 Rover Mini Spi Mpi Code Reader Kit . Contains :-
1 x Acr4 handset
1 x G2 pod with Rover loaded
1 x 30211600 spi 3 pin round lead
1 x 30212400 mpi 16 pin lead
Extension cable
proper carry case

Anything else I’ll need ?

Right had a play late night problem I have to date :-

Car runs and ticks over fine although abit of exhaust popping at times ?

If I cover Inlet it doesn’t stall ?

All electrics now work ?

Now I’ve been reading about the flywheel being on wrong and now panicking that’s the problem!! Surely it wouldn’t run at all if that was wrong I was mathodical in the installation marking everything it was a Borg and Beck 190mm clutch GCK100AF injection type, however I literally only replaced the friction part and not the pressure plate etc ?

Thanks and sorry I keep posting I’m just desperate to get this sorted too many sleepless nights now ?‍♂️?

Mine is the v17 also and it connects to my MPI and gives all sensor readings. I compared the values to the values on my T4 (that I got later) and they are spot on.

Brilliant I’ll have a look at getting one and plus it In see what it’s says
Thank you

Had a look into this and apparently I’ll need a separate lead to connect it to the car I believe it’s 5AS MEMS that’s needed For the rover mini ?
