I have got a left hand drive. I am trying to remove the retaining plate the outside bolt I am able to get loose but what kind of tool do you use to get to the inside bolt? Cannot seem to get near it from any side.
Would be grateful for any information.

So I got 28 out and want to change 27
So I am trying to remove 23.
But I cannot get near the inner Bolt of 17.
With the Lhd the gear box is on this side. The outer bolt/screw was no Problem but I cannot find a way to put a spanner on the inner one because the big middle bolt/screw is in the way.

Ok inner bolt 17 you only need to access the bolt as the nut is welded to the subframe unlike the outer one.
you may need to use a small socket set up.

No real difference between LHD and RHD.
That bolt is difficult, I think I used a 1/4” drive 7/16” AF socket on a long extension. Much easier with the radiator out.

If I get you right - what you aim for is to remove the rubber donuts (27) and you have already removed the aluminium cone (28). Right?
That should be possible without removing the top wishbone, altough it a bit fiddly.
How did you actually get the alu cone out, without de-compressing the suspension rubber cone? (usaully this requires a special tool http://www.minispare...ack to search)
Because of corrosion the rubber donut usally sits rather tight in its recess in the subframe. You should knock it out from above, whilst avoiding to ruin the thread.
Apropos: Du kannst mich auch auf Deutsch fragen wenn Dir das leichter fällt.

Tonight an extra long 30cm spanner didthe trick. 1/4 from either front or wheelside would not fit because of thegearbox... Lhd.
Got the cones out and just want to make sure. What you see on the pictureshould be two parts the trumpet and Nr. 31 I think.
Changing the upper arms bearings was no problem but separating 31 from the trumpet did not work toll now. Any good advice??

I still can't see how the gearbox could possibly be in the way, and there is not difference on a LHD car.
But glad you got the bolt out.
To remove the knuckle joint from the trumpet, soak it in penetrating fluid such as PlusGas and then use something to knock it out, working from inside the trumpet.
