Hi

I have a 1997 Mini Cooper MPI. On the right hand side of the engine bay is an electrical plug or coupling which isn’t plugged into anything. It just hangs down below the coolant reservoir, and comes from the same loom as the horn plug.

I’ve attached some photos to help with identification

What should be in here/is missing?

Thank you all!

I'm racking my brain trying to remember what it's for but I do know that its not needed on your car and you have nothing missing.

Most likely for a fan that is not used on the front mounted radiator for the MPi.

JDM market still used a side mounted radiator and I am guessing they used the same engine loom for both.

Thank you - that is a relief that nothing is missing, and the replies are very much appreciated.

If I’m not mistaken this was for the Japanese market only. There’s a wiring diagram somewhere on here but I can’t find it.

It's for JDM cars, not used in UK
