As said, can the glass be removed from the wing mirror?

I already have the mirrors off the car,  but I wish to spray the back of them and it would be easier if the glass wasn't there.

I have noticed a small hole at the bottom,  I didn't know if it was just a case of putting something in there and prising them off.  I thought I'd ask 1st as I didn't want to brake them.

Thanks for any help

No idea the Mini never had wing Morris as standard from the UK factory. So it depends what mirrors you have.

Possibly,

Replacement glasses were available, but they were glued together so needed careful prying apart with a stanley knife. New glasses came with new plastic retainers, there's some risk if you're wanting to reuse those bits.

Its near impossible to get them apart sadly. I have ruined a few sets already trying to figure out a way. They always crack or split at some point.

Maybe not the info you need, but I have the standard rover mirrors,
The consist of a base ( that secures to the door and that attaches to the mirror housing with a pivot-bolt)
The mirror housing,
Glass and a plasic bezel.

When I wanted to paint the mirror housing tahiti blue (leaving the base and bezel black like the cooper mirrors are painted white with black bezels and base), I inbolted the housing from the base and pryed the bezel of with a small screwdriver. Covered the glass with painters tape and sprayed the housings (plastic primer followed by a rattle can in the right colour). Afterwards I just pushed the bezel back in its place. Might that I used a drop of glue for security in the bezel edge.

As Sid says, some of them are held in place with a spring behind the glass. just push the mirror in and remove the plastic bezel.
