External Door Hinges

There's some play in my door hinges.
I see you can buy a repair kit where you drill them oversize and insert a brass bush and a new pin.
Could you not simply insert a roll pin or would that not be strong enough ?

You could....

In fact you could engineer any sort of hinge.

Have seen some soooper lightweight ones racer style of late. Just depends on the style of mini your after.

the bush is needed to stop the pin wearing through the hinge body

 

fitting oversize bushes should only really be necessary if the pin has worn through the existing bushes and into the hinge so the hole is no longer round
