Hello

1993 L reg SPI Cooper

I have fixed rear seat belts

They're a bit rubbish

Mini Spares sells rear inertia seat belts

Product code : MSSB1109

Anyone had any experience of fitting these?

Is it a like for like swap / upgrade using existing fixing / anchor points or is it a bigger drilling / welding job?

The Mini Spares website doesn't say (it's usually excellent as I'm sure we all know and appreciate)

Thanks

Elwyn

I’m having MPI inertia belts fitted in my ‘92 SPI at the moment. There is a bracket which needs welding in to be able to take that type of belt. It’s not as straight forward as just bolting them in unfortunately.

Can’t comment on those specific ones, I managed to source some from a breakers.

Thanks

I was hoping, but not at all confident that it would be fixed belts out / inertia belts in

I'm no welder

One for another day

I rarely have passengers in the back, if ever, so no great urgency

If you could post / share some photos of the welding / new bracket, that would be very helpful
