Hi all,
I'm wanting to debadge my Mini. However, I'm worried it's going to leave a mark. Do you have any recommendations on the best way to debadge it and how to clean up anything that is left under the badge?
Cheers,
Lloyd

It depends on the badges. Most just pull off as they and mounted in little plastic plugs that fit into the mounting holes in the boot and the bonnet.

I usually go for a clean, new plastic filler spreader.
Only problem with debadging a mini is you will most likely be left with mounting holes in the bodywork behind, especially on the bonnet.

I suspect they've been stuck on. I want to replace the wing badge on the bonnet and boot with a new one (cooper car company one, I think they look smart!) . But there is also a Cooper Sport (It's not a cooper sport!) and a 1.3i badge that I deffo want off.

Pop the bonnet and have a look.

I actually have the bonnet off right now, adding sound proofing and silicon. I've had a look and it actually looks like the wings, 1.3i and cooper sport are all stuck on.
That's fine for the wings, as I'll be replacing.
What do you recommend to clean up the mess the sticky pads have left behind on the 1.3i and cooper sport? I mean worst case, I'll stick them back on of course =)

One thing worth mentioning is on all cars not just the mini, if the badges have been there any length of time, when removed can leave a shadow in the lacquer, and no amount of polishing removes it.
