Do the taper kits sold by MiniSpares etc need an additional spacer piece per axle or are the races extended to not require it?

My car currently has ball bearing sets in the back and the races extend quite a ways out from the ball cage...no separate spacer is present.

The roller bearing kit I have measures 20.3mm end to end of inner race. Do I need to order a spacer piece?

It'd be included in the bearing kit, but looks like it's been built in to the bearings, same as the ball type.

What I have looks very much like this:

Is that what the built-in race spacer looks like?

If they need a spacer they will come with one. If the don’t need one they will not come with one.

the Minis all used to come with sets that used a spacer. Later when the metro started using the ones with the built in spacer design Minis often got them as well. Note that the Metros only used ball type bearings as the wheel design meant the loads on the bearings was less.
