I did have one with knackered studs,if I can find it I'll send you a template made from a cornflake box. I made one out of 3mm steel

Just been through the boxes in the loft and it's not there. If I come across it in the garage at weekend I'll let you know

Which Clubman bonnet hinges are you going to fit? Pre-1980 or post-1980, they have a different profile (one is sort of U shape & one is sort of V shaped).

You can buy new post-1980 style hinges quite cheaply so it wouldn't be worth the time or effort to make a set, the earlier CZH530 & CZH531 can be difficult to get hold of.

My pre-80 ones are very difficult to get hold of.... because they are buried in one of the many boxes under my bed! I will dig one out (literally) if you let me know that's what you're definitely going for.

These are post 1980 ones -https://www.ebay.co....FEAAOSwB-ZcxHWJ

& here's the more U shaped hinges as fitted to my '75 & (very late) '71  -https://www.ebay.co....qEAAOSwHDVew8KR

If you're going to go to the trouble of making them you might as well do them in stainless.... so that will be two sets to make (one for you & one for me :-)).
