Hi All

So I have my new fusebox in, which has solved by main issues.

The next job is to replace the crappy connectors, I have sourced the correct PoziLok (AKA Posi Lock) black connectors already, my question is, are the clear ended spade covers OEM too? I have some already, so easy for me to replace like for like, just curious if they are OEM.

My 91 has a mix of both as well if it helps. Very annoying really. When i need to replace any i have been using all weather spade terminals.

They are spade terminal with thick shrink tubing over them. Not the hard plastic ones and they remain soft. They have a bit of glue in them that seals the back end up.

I had a look at my 1990 RSP Cooper today. I am not sure if this is any help.

Top left is clear. Top right has a blue sleeve.

Next down, left and right are black posilok.

Next down - no left connection but right is pozilik.

Bottom two - no connections.

My 1991 Cooper has Pozilok Connectors for all terminals on the Fuse box, and most of the other connections too. The only ones I can think of that were the clear plastic ones were the Heater switch....

That's far from standard then - a blue crimp is certainly not OEM and not having a connection to some of the fuses is certainly odd!

Your are quite right. I wasn't looking closely enough. There are four pairs of connectors each side of the box. All have posilok connectors except the top two front with the different connectors I mentioned and the another three front ones I also mentioned as having no connectors.
