Has anyone come across this problem

I have need of a new thermostat sandwich plate due to corrosion on the mounting faces.

When i look at mini spares their Mpi specific sandwich plate the description says the temp transmitter thread is 12mm.

However the current (original) plate isn't 12mm thread regular or fine.

The sensor is an Elmwood ES120-4 (light brown connector.)

Do i just have to suck it up and buy a new sensor as well as the plate?

Thanks

Chris

Could you buy one of the undrilled ones and tap it yourself?

Google says the Elmwood ES120-4 is M12x1.5

Thanks gents.
I did try my m12 1.5 die on the sensor which tightened up after the first turn and a tap in the plate and the same thing happened and i began to doubt myself.
I will get a plate and 'hope' the sensor fits. After your reassurance i am sure it will.
Thanks.

Are you sure the die is 12x1.5? The standard pitch for M12 is 1.75.

Yeah i have both 1.5 and 1.75.
1.75 is standard but a standard m12 nut wont thread onto the sensor either. (this is the first thing i tried.)
You can see its a finer thread when you offer up a standard bolt to the sensor.
My confusion was that mini spares just says m12 thread for the thermostat sandwich plate. It doesn't say m12 fine thread or m12 x 1.5thread.
