...my pulley does not fit....and I sorta destroyed my alternator getting the pulley off.....so yeah. El Gordo is dead for now.



OOPS! :w00t: I'm sure that pulley should fit that alt, what's stopping it fitting?

*edit* just remembered this is a 22mm shaft.

OK, three things you could try:

1) if you have a local LSUK (lucas) or auto parts place, have a pop in and ask if you could have a pulley of a dead alt (if they have any)

2) see if the local garages have any dead alts, ask if you could get the pulley.

3) scrapyard.

Pully should only cost a couple of quid.

yeah. the new alternator is threaded were as my original pulley has a key in it so the parts can't spin.

going to try two scrappys today and e-mail a bloke off ebay who supply's them.
