New Year; New Friends
Posted 31 December 2003 - 04:01 PM
I'm from Central Illinois in the US. I care for a '74 Mini 998. I've provided board to my cherished auto since November 2000. I found the car in Florida. It was a gift from my wife in honor of our 20th anniversary. She has repeatedly said she'd rather I have a love affair with a car than a chippie. The car is from a previous owner in the UK and it came with an ample service record. It was well cared for. In the three years I've driven it, only minor problems. The few challenging repairs I've been able to do on my own with the help of a Haynes manual. My greatest regret is having to leave it in the garage during the worst parts of the winter. But today the forecast is for sun and highs in the 40's. So, I'll be motoring. Best wishes to you all for a happy and healthy new year.

Chips being the proper name for french fries
