here's an up to date pic of my 1966 riley elf. latest addition is the 12" steels and chrome hubcaps. when i got the car it came with drums all round on standard 10's with riley chrome hubcaps, but i put on a set of 8.4" front disc brakes so needed to go to 12" wheels. i've thought about putting on some rover 4.5x12" minilights but i think the cream steels and hub caps is a bit more in keeping with what is a pretty standard looking car.

engine wise is has a 1098cc engine on a period pudding stirrer gearbox. drive very nice with a stage one kit. southam rr'ed it a few weeks back at 50bhp.

it still got a few more bits and bobs to have done - get some trim clips for the windscreen scuttle trim, re-align the drivers door and a bit of paint on the rear arches and the panel under the rear bumper.

here are a couple of pic of the interior. for security i bolted a substantial u-bolt through the transmission tunnel near the geartstick so i can padlock the gearstick in reverse. i saw a similar trick done to a mg midget. the padlock is yale high securirty jobbie so no worries about the car getting nicked.

the wheels look really smart. Are they just normal late steels? How do the trims fit? :w00t:

now that would be telling :w00t:

wheels are standard mini 12" steels - hubcaps are secret though
