Hi,

got some more picture to share with you all!

I put the pre-filter and fuel pump in the car. Made a bracket and made the fuel lines to the back. Supply and retour. Looks good to me.....

Also test fitted the seats in the car. I knew that the cobra's were to wide for the mini...... So I replaced the brackets and used some screws to put them where I wanted them. Hopefully I can weld the brackets to the crossmember next week....

Oh and I couldn't resist to let Justin test fit the seats....... Hahaha.

G'Day Rene,

I'm in Australia, but an soon relocating to the Netherlands for a bit for work. Seriously considering starting a Z-Car Mini when I get back to Oz and was wondering if it would be possible to have a look at yours while I'm in your country? Have been reading through your build (and many others on here) and would love to see it first hand.

Drop me a line if that would be possible, or even if you need a hand. I've played with Minis before and raced an MX5 for a bit, so not totally inept, but would appreciate being able to talk to someone building one. As far as I know, there are none in Australia so far. Also planning a trip to the UK to visit the factory while in the region.

Cheers

Nick

Hey Rene,

Have you got your rear frame yet? Have you progressed any further while you've been waiting?

Still haven't got the rear frame. It really seems to take ages and I should have had it by now but probably it's extremely busy at Z's.....

Haven't done much in th mean time. I started on the wiring but nothing much to tell about that. A couple of small things but that's about it.....

Been enjoying the twins a lot I guess..... Them boys are great!

I need the rear frame to finish a lot of sall things...... you know....

Hope it comes soon, after that the updates will be more frequent again, I promiss!

Cheers

Looks like you have some work to do my friend! >_<

As well it looks as though they have once again modified the frame. I notice differences in mine and yours and it hasnt even been a year!
1- rear bar on yours is u shaped mine is straight
2- looks like they added supports to the shock towers into the top roll bar.

Lyle, you're right. I thought the rear bar was straight too but it could be for the space I need for the intake manifold....
The supports are new too. probably came afther the problems Adam had with his frame. All good improvements I think.

"Evolution goes a long way"

First a week on holiday and when I come back my first priority is to get the frame in.....

The intake will be on the other side toward the front of the car. None the less all good changes.

Good luck let me know if you run into a snag
