I just got given a trimuph dolomite 1500HL from my dad. Hes not a fan about classics but rang me today with this. The guy has had it since the 80's and its been run everyday till afew days ago. It has mot till Dec 04 and is in very solid condition. The panels are starting to go abit scabby but that can be sorted out.
It is S reg....(1976?) and in russet brown. The guy had it up for sale for £2000 and couldnt shift it, times have come hard and its had to go. My dad ended up wiv it, but the guy kept the tax to cash in or something. So now i've got it, £100 bargin!
Turns out after some research on the web, the dolemites are worth about £500-1000 in decent nick. The sprints however go for 1000-3000 so i think the guy saw that and thought it was same.
Its a 1500 engine with twin carb, all good and running.
car looks like this,
It needs a master brake cylinder (think thats right) as it leaks abit. can it be fixed? and a battery.
If i get that sorted, i will use the car in afew months when the mini is off road for respray and panels.

Going to replace the brake servo / cylinder with another or change all the seals with a repair kit. Rub down the panels and get it looking tidy.
I am gunna see if my aunt can sew the seats so it can be kept original. Shes a invisible sitch person, repairs clothes and stuff like that. Then varish the inside wood along doors.
Think i'll ebay it and try to get a running mini with mot n tax for when mine goes in bodyshop. Then i got 2 mini's to work on
Well thats the plan, so we'll have to see.

Yeah, Rimmer Brothers are great. Rimmer Bros
And Moss might do Dolomite stuff, but I think they only do TR's.
