Well, this post is to introduce my project pickup. Although I have always had a passion for Minis since the age of fourteen when I got my first, I went through around 10 or 12 before I got my pickup, which was the ultimate.

Unfortunately, an accident after just 8 months of use killed her, and I fancied something different. I went on a torrid, but thankfully short, affair with (whisper it) 'modern cars'.
I have now proudly returned to the fold with 'Zero', an unloved and previously butchered pickup, which I hope to restore to as-new condition. I have been selling anything that is not nailed down in order to fund the not inconsiderable replacement panel fund! Please give generously!

I'd like to know what you think?

you are a lucky guy to own 2 pick ups in a lifetime.
I'd love a pick up but find them hard to find up north where i am or at a ridiculous price i cant afford.
In my eyes the pick up was the ultimate mini. (dont let my mini know i said that)
Good luck with the build.
Daniel

Thanks Daniel, it was just a case of getting lucky - as well as being prepared to put alot of work in!
It probably is cheaper in the long run to buy a decent pickup than restore one, but its the restoration bit I love!
Good luck in your search, though

mini pickups kick ass.
more expensive than the average mini and a hell of a lot rarer but they kick ass, if i had the money, and oppertunity, i'd be restoring one of those instead!
good luck mate.
