One ran no shocks, just rubber springs? (Assuming suspension isn't allowed to extend past what the shocks would prevent?)
What would happen if...

the car would just bounce uncontrolably , i drove a transit with no rear shocks (they had been removed for me to weld the chassis) over a bump and you would think it was going to take off ,several times ! brake and the wheels just locked and bounced , not good

As stated, in MILD driving it would bounce a lot.
Worst case... get airborn off a bump in the road and the trumpets/knuckles come out of place from too much rear suspension travel and you ruin all when you land. It wouldn't take much.

when i had the saxo i had to have work done on the rear sus.
while i was there, the mechanic took the shocks off and goes "this is why we have shock absorbers..." at which point he compresses the back and and lets go.
the back of the car was bouncing all over the place for ages.
