Hi my dad says that if i get a carbon fibre bonnet then when its sprayed up it will look differant to the paint on the metal? jsut wonderd if this is right

i should'nt think so, i've seen carbon fronts that look identical to the rest of the paint. I don't know if you have to paint them any different than normal but you can certainly get a good match.

It shouldn't look any different to the rest of the car if done properly useing the same paint that the car is painted in originally. The only problem I can see is metalic paint because its very difficult to match/blend especially if the paint is quite old because it changes colour with age.

I thought that the whole point of having a carbon bonnet was so that you could see the funky weave.

Yea, but the difference in weight between a carbon, and steel bonnet isn't really worth bothering with. You'd do it because it looks good.
