your new wheels are basically the same as your old ones but with a few modifications.
the only visual difference is the position of the stud holes, some cars actually left the factory with a mixture of both types.
I've actually been wondering about your new car, has it had a new bonnet, front end and boot lid ???
the reason i ask...
in July 1994 the Mini Cooper Monte Carlo was released, most people realise this, but what most people don't realise is that before this in January 1994 a Monte Carlo "anniversary decal kit" was released. it was available through dealers as an option when a new "normal" mini cooper was bought.
this included two more spotlights to make a total of four (your car should have two as standard), white door squares, single white side stripe, cooper wheel centres and rally plates on the bonnet and boot.
it would seem that your car has half of these additions and the other bits (including standard bonnet stripes, spotlights and boot badges) are missing. this would make sense if your front end and boot lid had been replaced.
is there any sign that this has been done, to be honest the car looks like it's in good condition for it's age so maybe this has been done.
the point is, your car may have been fitted with one of these special sticker kits from new, which makes it a little bit more special than a standard cooper.
you have the choice to change it as you please or make it look the way it possibly did when it was new. if you can prove it had the sticker kit, you may want to consider this. i'll post a photo of how the kit should have looked a bit later.

right, this is what your car "should" look like as standard, but in black.
anything that's on these photos that you don't have has been removed or changed at some point.
front end with stripes and two spot lights...
correct wheels with plain centres...
correct boot lid badges...
inside of boot...
engine...
interior...

now this is the monty Carlo limited edition from July 1994, note the colour coded wheel arches and black wheels plus different interior...
and this is the Monty Carlo sticker kit from January 1994...
your car seems to be somewhere between the standard model and the sticker kit model...
you still have twin side stripes but you now have the door square (maybe the wings have been changed and the stripes were replaced with a twin stripe but the square was untouched??) and you have the wheel centres.
you have also lost your spotlights and bonnet stripes (new front panel, and bonnet ??) and your boot lid badges (new or resprayed boot lid??)
either your car had the sticker kit and has been restored at some point, and very nicely done from your photos or...
your car was fitted with some parts of the sticker kit and has lost other standard items probably due to personal taste of a previous owner.
either way it may be worth looking into, but all the same... nice car !!! i think your going to like the extra performance over the old flame model, it makes them so much nicer to drive.

Wow!! Thanks Anorak thats amazing!!
good lil lesson i had there!!
Yea he said that it has had a lot of body work done to it, and i gave it a good inspection and there is hardly any rust or any imperfections anywhere!! I will ask him when i pick it up next week, about what you have said. That is strange. And yes i dont have the 2 standard spot lights on it (altho he is fitting the 4 for me, as well as the bonnet stripes).
This really has interested me, thank you!! Will show me dad this!!
