But wouldn't you rather see him trash a BINI
than a Mini?

To second and third all the various messages, it was good to put faces to names - I had a good day - didn't spend much, saw some great looking cars, and talked with some good people - the weather was a bit of an annoyance - not getting much sleep at the campground while waiting for my tent to blow down (it didn't, fortunately!) - but an enjoyable weekend nonetheless! Pity we couldn't hook up with more tmf-ers! Maybe at the next show!

Yea, fake ones :grin: i did have a minispeed one before, then i read the instructions how to fit it, and you had to cut up your old gear lever!!!

Fitted my induction kit aswel, damn that makes a racket!!! it is louder than my exhaust!! so might be selling it back on because it isn't very practical!

its proper KAD, was speaking to the guy at minispeed and they had to blag some off the KAD stall because they were selling like hotcakes

they had the KAD rear disk package too.... hmmmm *drool*

They had the twin over head cam conversions aswel **drools!!! lol.

Have you got you quickshift fitted yet??

yup, mines the lift collar reverse one. i paid £70 something

havent fitted it yet, probably a job for the weekend (weather pending).

That doesn't make any sense, how can minispeed sell it for £70 when they are buying it from KAD who are selling it to the public for £80?!?!?!?! nonsense.

never mind, whats £10 between fellow mini fans eh :cool: !?!?! still worth every penny tho!

it says on the instructions that you might be able to get away without dropping the linkage, this is impossible, when you tap the 2 pins in, get somebody to put their hand just below so it doesn't drop inside the linkage, but if they do, don't worry because all i did was unscrew the plate at bottom of linkage to get em out!

mine does rattle ever so slightly, not very loud, but do you think this could be lack of greese?

remember KAD make them for X price, they then add Y amount to clear manufacturing costs, VAT and to make profit.

minispeed buy them at a trade price (probably X plus a bit, also with no VAT) and dont add as much Y cost as KAD. they make less profit but probably sell more in the long run.

it wasnt 70 quid, i cant lay my hands on the receipt but it was 75-79 odd.

Yeah those KAD quickshifts did look very nice!!!!

Will have to look at one for the future!!!
