we use 35mm for road kits
38 and 48 for the new race kits
the monte carlo has a 48 mm roll hoop then 38 and 35 mm for rest
however the next batch of montes will be FIA spec and we are just about to have all the tests done by MIRA so we can homologate the whole frame to race anywhere in the world
im told that we can probably go down to .9 mm thick if we use T45 and add a few braces and extra bars
considering the car was built to conform to the blue book and has 2.6 mm main hoop etc there will be a significant weight loss
i know certain fanatical weight loss Z cars owners will be pleased to hear that (bet most of you know who i mean)
the reason for this is strong international interest from our visit to autosport show at the weekend
chris
