Hi - just bought my pooter last week. It was actually for my wife as a birthday present but she's not used it much!

Have 2 mins - a W reg twin point called red min and a 998 h reg mayfair called Morris. The twin point has group 2 arches, drilled & grooved discs, stainless RC40, K&N, but seems to get very hot in traffic - on this years london to brighton it got so hot that the stearing rack went stiff!!! - any ideas - i've put on exhaust wrap, use water wetter, have the heater on & run a 74c thermostat - i guess there's just too many electrical bits in the twin point??

Morris is now retired and only does 5-6miles a week. But you can't beat the original simple mayfair - the only mods are a finned rocker and metro seats that are the same fabric as the old ones that I took out - they really improve the ride though. The black grill, wipers etc are all still there - morris shuns chrome.

One day I will get an elf, but can't bring myself to sell red min or morris. But I did buy an elf grill at Min45 for a fiver - it looks dead cook on the wall of my hall.

Is anyone out there???

I don't have any pics - sorry, but I will try and get some - as the pooties new I've got things on disc at work somewhere.

Heard about this on the notts about minis site. Been here before I think??

Forgot to mention - I also have a metro to put on all the boring mileage - the mins are pampered - I know metros are C**p, but it serves a purpose - please keep any replies about this bit clean!

Elfred.

yes without the humble metro many minis (including mine) would be engineless, i can't see anyone caring when it consigned to the history books but a good supply for parts non the less
