Have you got your clocks yet as the digi dash has the gears on allready. or are you going for separates.

im glad you think it will work...

as for the speedo, im not exactly sure how its calibrated. because i bought this car as a 95% complete project its already running etc etc.

i think it will be a while before i have really got into the nitty gritty of how all the electrics work.

thing is im fine with mechanics, hand me a box of tools and im well away ..... wires though :/

- does it matter how the speedo is calibrated? im pretty sure its electrical. i dont think theres any cables lurking under the dash

i wouldnt bother witht he acumen as you have to calibrate them to engine speed and mph, however the geartronics version is just plug and play as the busa has a gear posistion sensor inside the gearbox as this alter the ecu on the bike

see here for details

geartronics link

you wont be disapointed

cheers

I know someone who put the Geartronics in a sequential box equipped Ultima too, and he swears by it....

Go with Mark's option. Andy will be getting one for the minus as it's the only 100% accurate one.
We were guided away from the acumen sensor due to the fact that they can loose track of what gear your in when doing quick downshifts. Unfortunately the r1 doesn't have a gear position sensor so we just went without.

the gear tronics one is very good as mark said we have one on the demo bike engined car and its been faultless
we also have the gear facility on the digi dash on the v tec car and its been very good as well although on a car engine you have a better idea of what gear you are in because the lever stays in place when you have shifted gear not like a bike which al;ways sits in a neutral positoin when you let go of it

I have the Acumen but have never been able to get it working reliably above 2000rpm, pretty disappointed with it and the customer service is not that good either.
