If you could pick up a low cost 1275, that's due a rebuild then you could rebuild it for about the same cost as rebuilding your 998 and you'll end up with a more flexible unit with a lot more torque. You should be able to recoup some of the base 1275 purchase cost from the sale of the 998.

I don't understand your question, if you've just bought it you'll know how much it's worth because that you've just paid for it. If you want a valuation, become a TMF+ member and put up a post and some pictures in the valuations section.

Dear TMF and Minis members,

I have just bought a Mini mark I cooper S 1962, It is equipped with a 1.3 engine and a Weber carburettor (45 DCOE).

Meanwhile, I'm having a 1972 Mark III British Leyland Mini with 1.0 engine and a SU Carburettor.

Looking forward in learning and sharing with each other's.

Sincerely,
David Ong

Are you going to start a thread on the recommissioning?

Enjoying driving the Mini again :D

Needed  a couple of bags of chippings from the builders merchants, doesn't a bit of weight in the boot smooth the ride out :proud:
