Bought a 1989 Austin Mini 1000 "Special" 2 years ago and have been enjoying it immensely .

Only recently had the time to start doing some mechanical work on her - completed overhauling of the rear subframe last week .

Aiming to remove front subframe and engine when weather improves so will need input from all the experienced owners on the forum please !

Hi all,

 

I've got myself a 1981 model with a 1275 cc twin SU carb Mini called 'Elsie'.

 

I took her for a road trip through Europe last summer, we made it down to Bavaria, through Austria and into the Italian Alps. not without a few mechanical issues as to be expected of course.

 

And now I'm eyeing up my next Mini!
