well ok..............

iv spent about a week trying to work out whats up with my suspension....and i think iv done it!

i cant be sure as im still waiting for my damper back from SPAX yes thats 8 working days!!

ok........i set my hub to ride height of my hub and find out the upper arm is very close to the bump stop! as in mm!!!!!!

so i think this cant be right as there is no room for the damper/spring to travel!

so i ask mini owners to see if its like this on there car.......the answer is the same!!

so by talking to andy lloyd and eliminating other things........we reccon that my new suspension set up is softer than the origional......

therefore needing to travel more in order to work......as at the moment my bump stop is doing all the work because there is no longer a rubber cone fitted (which made it so hard and was atched to the upper arm!) (idea of the spring is to replace this)

and then i notice my damper has its own bump stop in it!!

SO WHY........dotn spax know that your bump stop needs to be removed in order for your new set up to work?? iv spoken to them and explained what is wrong!!

they didnt even suggest this!!

EUUUUUUUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

they should have done all this work befor they started selling them!!

and i also now find out that mini owners in the know (who seem to be in the know anyway) cut there bump stops in half to alow more damper action!! when they change from standard! even if they keep cones!!

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh........i feel better though........just hope this solves it!!
